“Evening Sun” is a collaborative work of Portland artist Lucinda Parker, and Fireart’s Ray Ahlgren and Jeff Wallin. The project advanced their creative and technical abilities to a new level, as painting and glass emerged in exciting new directions. Parker began the process in her studio, through a series of drawings and paintings that culminated in a full-scale acrylic painting. It was brought to Fireart Glass to be further refined through the process of translating it into the finished glass composition. In the service of Parker's vision the studio was transformed into an extension of her intuitive yet exacting manner of painting.
